We can’t deny that Hot Girl Summer has all the things we love: being yourself, having a good a** time, a sprinkle of chaos, and spending time in the sun. But here’s the tea; Hot Girl Summer…is a little out of touch. Oop! You heard that right. “Hot” is not really, well hot when it causes the deterioration of our home planet that we share with a lot of other organisms who are suffering this summer. Hot girl summer is sexy and fun, but it isn’t very conscious. It gives us the freedom to have fun and to be a little reckless, but it doesn't really ask us to be considerate towards our people and our planet. It’s a little self-obsessed, and we believe we can do better.
